Kennedy Professional

Development Center

The Education & Training Section operates and maintains education, training, and testing programs supporting the overall mission of ACC, assigned Air Force units, and the career and professional development of DM personnel. They manage 25 classrooms in the Kennedy Professional Development Center (KPDC).

The Base Library offers a 10K sq ft library featuring an expanded computer lab, Kids’ Cove, Teens’ Corner, and Periodical Room. Whether you’re doing research for school or just catching up with your reading, the base library has thousands of books to choose from. They also have playaways, DVDs, and CDs. The library is located on the northwest side of the Kennedy Professional Development Center, Bldg 2441, 228-7148

ALS  Airman Leadership School is the foundation of Enlisted Professional Development and leadership. It is the first stage of Professional Military Education (PME). Our ALS Commandant and four instructors prepare Senior Airmen to be the professional war-fighting Airmen who can supervise and lead Air Force teams in the employment of air, space, and cyber power. ALS is located in Bldg. 4101.     ALS - 228-3054

The Professional Development Section encompasses the Career Assistance Advisor and First Term Airmen Center. The Career Assistance Advisor (CAA) advises Commanders and supervisors on issues impacting retention, force shaping and overall health of the enlisted force. CAA counsels personnel on reenlistment opportunities and benefits, oversees all professional enhancement seminars. Under the CAA is the First Term Airmen Center (FTAC). All enlisted personnel assigned to their first duty station must attend FTAC. For two weeks, students go through mandatory training, medical appointments, and briefings from the different agencies on base.
